Create solutions from scratch or by choosing a template with Global Create

With the Global Create page, access the top five most relevant templates, a link to browse other templates from the Template Gallery page, and options to create a solution from scratch, whether it’s starting with a new Smartsheet item or by importing an existing item into Smartsheet.

Get started with Global Create

There are three ways to get to the Global Create page:

  1. Select the plus icon in the left rail.

  1. Select the Start a new project, program or process button on the Home page.

  1. Go to: https://app.smartsheet.com/r/create.
     

Create a solution

  1. To begin, decide what you need to have in the solution you want to create:
  1. Select the corresponding tile and start building your solution.
Global Create
  1. Every time you create a new solution, the system creates a new workspace for that solution to live in.

If you want to create a new solution in an existing workspace, use the Add button in the Solution Panel or use the Create dropdown in the upper-right corner from within the workspace.

  1. Rename the new workspace and the new item in the workspace so you can go back later.
  2. Select the star on a workspace or item to make it a favorite.

Select one of the recommended templates, or select See all templates to go to the template gallery, to quickly create a solution.
