By connecting Smartsheet to the AI agents or assistants your team already uses, you can retrieve, analyze, and manage project data in Smartsheet from wherever you work, complementing how you make decisions and get work done.
Smartsheet supports two ways to make that connection, using the Smartsheet MCP Server to securely connect your Smartsheet data to AI. For leading AI platforms, direct connectors are available — including Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Gemini, and Amazon Quick — so you can be up and running in just a few setup steps. If your team uses a different AI tool, or wants to build a custom integration, Smartsheet's public MCP Server gives you one standardized endpoint that any MCP-compliant client can connect to.

If the Smartsheet connector isn't available to you in your AI assistant, it may need to be turned on by your System Admin within the Smartsheet Admin Center as well as your AI assistant's own admin settings. Reach out to your System Admin for more information.
