You can set a frequency for a DataMesh config or run it right away.

Run the DataMesh config

Who can use this?

Find out if this capability is included in Smartsheet Regions or Smartsheet Gov.

To create a DataMesh, in the source, you need Viewer permissions or higher for a sheet, and Admin permissions or higher if using a report. Similarly, you need Admin permissions or higher in the target sheet.

After you create the DataMesh config, it’s ready to run. If you’ve set an execution frequency, the DataMesh runs at the next scheduled run time.

If you want to run it manually immediately, select the config's name from the main page.

Step 1: Details

Confirm that the options are correct, then select Run.

Step 2: Preview

Preview what populates on the target sheet. You can also see details about the following:

  • Total Rows Affected.
  • Total Rows Unaffected.
  • Total Duplicates in Source.
  • Total Rows Not Matched.
  • Total Data Fields Not Matched.
  • New Rows.

If everything is in order, select Submit.

Step 3: Confirm

Here you see the summary of the results for the target sheet. Select Close. 

Your DataMesh config is now complete, and your connected data is visible in the target sheet.

You may need to refresh the sheet to see the changes.
