When you are using capacity view, be aware that how roles and disciplines are configured determines the information that can be derived.
Important to know about capacity view
- Only groups data by roles or disciplines
- Only allows filtering by project
- Displays data in a monthly and weekly timeline
- Restricts colors based on hard-code values:
- Blue <=100%
- Light Red <150%
- Solid Red >=150% capacity
Capacity view limitations/not supported
- Cannot surface data beyond two years
- Unable to export the underlying data
- Unable to pull a report to see who is over-allocated
- Unable to model changes in a “what-if” scenario and see the impact relative to each other
