User Subscription Model overview
Summary of Smartsheet’s simplified User Subscription Model.
Smartsheet’s subscription model allows you to easily manage your users and budget. The two main components of your subscription are your plan type and the number of Members on your plan.
Your plan type determines which capabilities you and your team can use. Smartsheet offers three different plan types to choose from: Pro, Business, or Enterprise. See our Subscription Plans and Pricing page for more information on each plan type.
User types
Members are the paid users on your plan, with full access to create, collaborate, and use all features of Smartsheet included in the specific plan.
Viewers have View access to items shared with them but do not have access to comment, edit, or be an Admin to manage and drive work. You do not have to pay for these users.
Guests are users outside of your company, available only on our Business & Enterprise plans, who can edit and comment on items shared with them. You are also not charged for these users.
Try before you buy
We enable users to try before you buy. Users that aren’t yet Members can access all of the features of Smartsheet, as if they were Members, on a provisional basis at no charge.
