Navigate the platform for Authors and Contributors

An Author is a Content Automation user with access to edit and change particular inputs and assets within a document based on a template the client created for use. 

An External Contributor is a user who is given temporary access to a document with the view to edit and make changes without having full access to the platform and operates under a limited scope of use. 

You are likely to use several key areas, including the global search, notifications and activity, and the left navigation area. 

Global search

This allows you to search for projects, templates, and documents you can access.

Notifications tab

This includes both notifications and activities. The Notifications section on the left shows actionable items or items that have been actioned. The Activity section on the right shows activities relating to your team.

Navigation menu

Projects

This takes you to your project page, where you can view either your projects or all of the projects you have access to, meaning those belonging to yourself or any member of any teams you belong to. 

Assets

This option takes you to the asset library, where you can view any assets you have uploaded and all the assets uploaded to the general account.

Approvals

This tab allows you to view all items pending approval, awaiting review from yourself, or approved. Depending on your access, some documents in Content Automation require approval before they can be exported. This tab allows you to view the status of any of your approvals. 

Teams

This tab allows you to view any of the teams you belong to. While Content Automation is a collaborative platform, some of the templates are team-restricted, so here is where you can find which team you have access to in order to request further access if needed.
