Add a Smartsheet form to your Microsoft Teams channel

Include a Smartsheet form in a Teams channel to allow people to submit information right from the channel. 

Who can use this?

For example, you can add a form for channel members to submit work order requests, which will populate an IT Request Sheet.

To add a Smartsheet form to a channel:

  1. Create the form in Smartsheet.
  2. Open Smartsheet in a new browser window, locate and open the desired sheet.
  3. Select the Forms menu.
  4. Select and copy the URL for the form you want.
  5. Open Microsoft Teams and go to the channel to which you want to add the form.
  6. Select the plus icon next to the channel’s name.
  7. From the Add a Tab window, select website. 
  8. In the Tab Name field, type a name.
  9. In the URL field, paste the form link, then select Save.

You can add published links for sheets, reports, and dashboards to the Website tab.

That’s it! Now, your team can fill and submit the form from within the Microsoft Teams application.
