Add a title to your dashboard

Use title widgets to name your dashboards and categorize their content.

Who can use this?

Plans:

  • Smartsheet
  • Pro
  • Business
  • Enterprise

Permissions:

  • Owner
  • Admin

Find out if this capability is included in Smartsheet Regions or Smartsheet Gov.

  1. Add a title widget to your dashboard by selecting Edit > Add Widget from the main menu and selecting Title.

Alternatively, select the plus (Add Widgets) icon in the pane on the right and select Title.

  1. Enter your title in the text field on your dashboard.

Short titles work nicely, but the widget automatically expands to accommodate longer, multi-line titles if needed.

  1. Use the text format menu to set the title's font type, size, alignment, and more.

  2. In the Widget Behavior dropdown in the right side pane, set what should happen when a user clicks the widget.

Here are the options:

  • Take no action keeps your report title static.
  • Open another site… opens a tab to a URL you specify.
  • Open a Smartsheet item... opens a  Smartsheet item you specify.
     
  1. Select Save.

Your title widget provides textual guidance to your dashboard users.
