Freeze or Unfreeze a Column

Freeze a sheet column to keep it visible.

You can freeze a column to keep it visible while maintaining the scrollability of the columns to its right.

You cannot freeze rows.

Freeze a Column

  1. To freeze a column, hover over the column header and then select the Column Menu More icon in column header icon.
  2. Select Freeze Column from the menu. The column you selected and all columns to its left scroll independently from the columns to its right.

By default, column headers are frozen and always visible when you scroll vertically.

 

Unfreeze a Column

To unfreeze a column, select the Column Menu More icon in column header icon in the column header and select Unfreeze Column.
