Capabilities

Who can use this capability

You must be a Licensed User and have DataMesh Premium Application permissions enabled in User Management by a Smartsheet System Admin, to use DataMesh.

You need Viewer permissions or higher on any source sheet and Admin permissions or higher on any target sheet to create a DataMesh.

Find out if this capability is included in Smartsheet Regions or Smartsheet Gov.

Transfer a DataMesh configuration

You can transfer your DataMesh config so someone else on your team can manage it.

You must be a Licensed User and have DataMesh Premium Application permissions enabled in User Management by a Smartsheet System Admin, to use DataMesh.

DataMesh Config ownership requirements

The new owner must: 

  • Be a member of your Smartsheet account with a license and have signed in to the DataMesh application (datamesh.smartsheet.com) 
  • Have Admin-level sharing permissions or higher on both the source and target sheets

Transfer the configuration

  1. Select the Transfer icon on the right of the DataMesh window.

  2. Type the email address associated with the licensed Smartsheet account that you want to transfer your configuration to.
  3. The recipient receives an email notification asking them to sign in to DataMesh and accept the transfer.

Once they sign in to DataMesh and accept the transfer, they become the new owner of the configuration.
