A proof is a preliminary version of content used for review. Smartsheet streamlines this process by allowing teams to centralize feedback and approvals for images, videos, and documents directly within a sheet.

Add a proof
- Hover over the row in your sheet or report where you want to add the proof.
- Select the
icon on the default column on the left side of the row
The file upload screen is displayed.
- To find and upload the file you need to proof, select Upload. If you know where the file is, drag it to the Drop your file here box.
If you want to proof a file with your team that isn’t tied to a particular sheet or report, use file library.

Manage proofs in sheets
The Proofing button in the sheet toolbar displays the Proofs panel, which lets you review and manage proofs in your sheet. The panel shows versioning and row numbers, allows proof deletion and sorting, and the creation of Proof Info Columns.

The Smartsheet extension for Adobe Creative Cloud now supports multi-image upload in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
To upload a new version of a file, select the Version dropdown menu at the upper-left corner of the screen.
