Delete a sheet

When you delete a sheet in Smartsheet that is connected to a Resource Management project, then the project in Resource Management is either deleted or archived.

  • If there are no associated time entries, then the project is deleted.
  • If there are associated time entries, then the project is archived.

If you delete the project in Resource Management, no changes happen in the sheet.

Disconnect a sheet

If you need to disconnect your sheet from a project, or want to use the same sheet to connect to a different Resource Management project, use these steps:

  1. Select the balloon icon in the right rail to open the Resource Management panel.
  2. Choose the menu icon in the upper left side of the panel.
  3. Select Disconnect Resource Management Project.
  4. Create a new project or connect to another existing project (optional).

If you are planning to delete the sheet, it is best practice to disconnect the sheet from the Resource Management project before you delete the sheet. If you do not disconnect the project first, then you will have to recover the sheet in order to disconnect it.
