Tags can help you find specific projects, people with the skills you need for those projects, and more.
USM Content
Resourcing Administrators, People Schedulers, and Project Editors can tag people. Only Resourcing Administrators can edit, delete, or create tags. It’s good practice to have strong communication between administrators and project managers to maintain consistency in tagging.Project tags
What are tags
Tags can help you when search for projects, assign work to the right resource, and filter reports.
- Project tags: Add project tags to create project categories or characteristics for filtering projects on the project portfolio page and in reports.
- People tags: Add people tags to identify skills or other characteristics. You can search tags or skills in Reports and on the Approvals page. People can have multiple tags, for example: Java, Mentor, French-proficient, and Illustration.
If your filtering requirements are more complex, consider using custom fields. You can include things like certifications, managers, and organizational structures. Custom fields can push default values to people and projects, provide dynamic filtering, and integrate with advanced capabilities in Smartsheet. Learn more about custom fields.
