Specify Default Date and Number Formats With Regional Preferences
Smartsheet will display dates in the appropriate format for the Regional Preferences you've specified for your account.
You can also apply formats to date columns in your sheet (for example, long format with the day and month spelled out). More information on this is available in Apply Formats to Date Columns.
For example, if Regional Preferences is set to English (United States), dates will be displayed in the format month-day-year. If you've set Regional Preferences to English (United Kingdom), dates will be displayed in the format day-month-year.
To change the default date and number formats:
- Click Account > Personal Settings, to display the Personal Settings window.
- Click Settings in the left pane.
- Under Regional Preferences, select the desired value from the dropdown list.
The date and number formats for the selected preference will be displayed under the dropdown.
- Click Save to apply the changes.
Dates and number formats in your sheets will be updated to match the new setting.
