Default date and number formats with Regional Preferences

Setting your region appropriately ensures that dates and numbers are displayed in a format that is familiar and intuitive to you.

Who can use this?

Plans:

  • Smartsheet
  • Pro
  • Business
  • Enterprise

Use the Regional Preferences setting to align date and number formats with your local standards, making your data easier to read at a glance.

For example, if Regional Preferences is set to English (United States), dates are displayed in the format month-day-year. If Regional Preferences is set to English (United Kingdom), dates are displayed in the format day-month-year.

Here's how to update your regional preferences:

  1. At the bottom of the left bar, select Account > Personal Settings. The Personal Settings window appears.
  2. Select Settings in the left pane.
  3. Under Regional Preferences, select the region you want from the dropdown list.
  4. Select Save to apply the changes.

All dates and numbers in your sheets and other Smartsheet items are formatted according to your regional preferences.
