Designers, Authors, and Contributors must request approval before exporting documents if approvals are configured on your account.
Request approval of a document
Some users require approval before exporting a document.
Once you have finished editing your document, on applicable documents, you will only have the ability to Request Approval. Select this button to commence the approval workflow.
This button will open a lightbox to request approval on said document. Here you will be able to see who the default reviewer for the team is should you need to get in contact with them. You will also be able to add a custom message to the reviewer. This field, however, is not mandatory, and you will be able to proceed with requesting approval if no message is provided.
Once you have selected Request, the default reviewer will be notified of the approval request via email and in the Notifications Tab, and the status of the requested document will update from Unapproved to Pending Approval.
