Brandfolder Panel UI in Smartsheet

Find Brandfolder’s core functionality in Smartsheet through the Panel UI.

Finding and adding assets from your sheet allows you to use both products together. This creates a better workflow for navigating, searching, and using assets efficiently while maintaining Digital Asset Management as the single source of truth.

 To use this integration, your subscription must include the Smart CDN function and a Smartsheet Pro, Business, or Enterprise plan to use this integration.

Set up the integration

  1. Open your sheet. In the right feature bar, select Brandfolder.

  1. Select Connect your Brandfolder.
  2. Follow the login prompts.

Navigate the integration

Once you are at the Brandfolder or Collection level, you have a few options to narrow down your content:

  • Filter by custom fields, tags, etc., by selecting Filter  Filter. .
  • Utilize pin searches by selecting Pin  Pin an item. .
  • Find assets by inputting search syntaxes into the search bar.
  • Filter by section by choosing the All sections drop-down menu.
  • Search by labels by selecting the Labels icon to the right of the All sections drop-down menu.   

Users can view asset details by hovering over the asset and selecting View details.   

Pull Brandfolder assets into Smartsheet

  1. In the Brandfolder panel, locate the assets you want to use. 
  2. Select the check box below each asset. 
  3. Select the clip  Attach file. icon next to # of files selected. Select your desired action:
    • Attach [number] files to the row
    • Attach [number] files to sheet

Assets attached to a row or sheet appear under the attachments panel. 

While they appear as image attachments, they are CDN links. CDN links remain up to date in Smartsheet if they change in Brandfolder.

Upload Smartsheet attachments to Brandfolder

  1. Navigate to the attachments panel on the right-hand side. Select the Sheet tab. 
  2. Select Attach Files to Sheet and select Upload a file. 
  3. Select the file and upload it. 
  4. Once you upload the asset as an attachment, hover over it and select More  .
  5. Select Upload to a Brandfolder.
  6. Select the Organization, Brandfolder, Section, and optionally the Collection where you want to add the attachment. You can also select tags and custom fields for the asset; these pull sheet data are asset data in Brandfolder. 
  7. Name your asset and add the media URL.
  8. Select Upload one file.

You will see a new screen notifying you of the successful upload. You can copy the share link or view the asset in Brandfolder.
