RELATED CAPABILITIES

Who can use this capability?

Resourcing Administrators, Portfolio Editors, People Schedulers, and Project Editors can assign work to team members.

When you reassign work, Resource Management automatically shows you people who most closely match the person you need to replace.

Find the right people for projects

When adding a Person or Placeholder to a project, you can search for a specific team member or filter by criteria such as Role, Discipline, or Custom Fields.

To filter and find the best people for your projects:

  1. On the schedule, click a phase or white space.
  2. Select Add Team Member.
  3. In the pop-up menu, enter your criteria, for example, role, discipline, or custom fields.
  4. Refine your filters as needed. Matches will appear under matching people and matching placeholders.

If you’re looking for a specific person, scroll through the list at the bottom of the pop-up.

Reassign work

When you reassign work, Resource Management selects the attributes of that specific team member as filters. Your list automatically displays people and placeholders matching their criteria (such as discipline and role). Remove or add additional filters to modify your results.

Project Editors can only assign work on projects they own.
