Customers have been using the updated Smartsheet user model since 2024. Remaining legacy model plans will continue to transition to the user model in 2025.

  • Annual plans transition at their next renewal after January 1, 2025.
  • Monthly plans began transitioning on February 1, 2025.

Upon migration 

  • Licensed users automatically become Members.
  • Other collaborators’ seat types depend on their actions.
  • Tracking for Provisional Members begins immediately. 

Migration allows users to collaborate throughout the transition, while System Admins gain new tools to track usage and assign seats.
