Display an additional privacy policy alongside Smartsheet's Privacy Policy on every form in your account.
USM Content
You can add a custom privacy policy that appears alongside Smartsheet's Privacy Policy on every form in your plan. This helps your organization meet privacy requirements without editing forms individually.
Before you begin
Confirm the following before you turn on a custom privacy policy:
- Your plan is an Enterprise plan.
- You have System Admin credentials for your Smartsheet account.
Add a custom privacy policy
Complete the following steps to display your custom privacy policy on every form in your plan:
- In Admin Center, select the Menu icon to open the left panel.
Navigate to Settings > Branding & Personalization > Custom Privacy Policy and fill out the following fields:
- In the Display text field, enter a name for your privacy policy, up to 35 characters.
- In Custom URL, enter the web address for your privacy policy.
- (Optional) To also display your policy's full text directly on the form, select In-line text.
- If you selected In-line text, enter the full text in the Display text box that appears below it.

- Select Save.
Smartsheet displays your custom privacy policy next to its own Privacy Policy in the footer of every form in your plan, including forms you create after making this change.
Remove a custom privacy policy
Removing your custom privacy policy deletes your saved display text, URL, and inline text. There's no way to pause or hide it temporarily. If you want to use it again later, you need to re-enter everything.
Complete the following steps to permanently delete your saved custom privacy policy:
- In Admin Center, select the Menu icon to open the left panel.
- Navigate to Settings > Branding & Personalization.
Under Custom Privacy Policy, select Remove policy.

In the Remove custom privacy policy dialog, select Remove.

Smartsheet deletes your custom privacy policy and removes it from every form in your plan. To display a custom privacy policy again later, repeat the steps in Add a custom privacy policy and re-enter all your details.
Things to consider
Keep the following in mind when you use a custom privacy policy:
- The Display text name field has a 35-character maximum.
- Your custom privacy policy applies to every form in your plan. You can't limit it to specific forms.
- Custom privacy policy links to a single URL. It doesn't support multiple languages or region-specific versions.
