Delete or disconnect a sheet from a Resource Management project

This article is only applicable to users who access Resource Management with email/password or Resource Management SSO. 

Delete a sheet

Deleting a sheet in Smartsheet connected to a Resource Management project either deletes or archives the project in Resource Management.

  • If there are no associated time entries, the project is deleted. 
  • If there are associated time entries, then the project is archived.

If you delete the project in Resource Management, no changes happen in the sheet. 

Disconnect a sheet

Follow these steps to disconnect your sheet from a project or use the same sheet to connect to a different Resource Management project:

  1. From your Smartsheet item, select the Resource Management icon 
    Resource Management.
     in the right rail to open the Resource Management panel.
  2. Choose the menu icon ⋮ at the top of the panel.
  3. Select Disconnect Resource Management Project.
  4. Create a new project or connect to another existing project (optional).

When you delete a sheet connected to a project in Resource Management, you also delete the project (or archive it if there are time entries associated with it) in Resource Management. If you want to delete the sheet but keep the Resource Management project active, then you should disconnect the sheet before you delete it.
