Who can use this capability
Any user who is both a SysAdmin in Smartsheet and a Resourcing Admin in Resource Management can authorize the account connection.
Authorize Smartsheet and Resource Management accounts
To use the Smartsheet panel for Resource Management, you must first authorize the connection between Smartsheet and Resource Management.
If you use Sign in with Smartsheet for your Resource Management account, then authentication process is automated, and the below steps do not apply to you.
You need to authorize the connection between Smartsheet and Resource Management in order to use the panel.
- Login to Resource Management.
- Navigate to Settings > Account Settings.
- Select the Connect to Smartsheet button.
Log in with your Smartsheet SysAdmin credentials and Allow Access to your Smartsheet account.
Adding users to Resource Management
If you login to Resource Management using email/password or Resource Management SSO, before you can use the panel, you’ll need to configure people in your Resource Management account. Learn how to add users to your Resource Management account.
Users must have an email address that match between Smartsheet and Resource Management to be managed in the integration.
If you use Sign in with Smartsheet for your Resource Management account, any users that exist in Smartsheet but do not exist in Resource Management will be automatically created as an Unmanaged Resource.
