Recover a deleted sheet

If you're the owner of a deleted sheet, you have up to 30 days to recover it. After that, your sheet gets permanently deleted.

Plans:

  • Smartsheet
  • Pro
  • Business
  • Enterprise

Permissions:

  • Owner

Find out if this capability is included in Smartsheet Regions or Smartsheet Gov.

Recover a deleted item

  1. On the left navigation bar, select Browse.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the Browse panel and then select Deleted Items.

  1. Right-click the item and select Undelete. 

You can also drag the item out of the Deleted Items section and drop it in a folder or workspace to undelete it.

Consider the following when recovering a deleted item:

  • If you recover an item, but you haven’t deleted the workspace where it used to live, the item returns to its original workspace.
  • If you recover an item, but you have already deleted its original workspace, the system recreates the original workspace and places the item within it.
