Downgrading a Smartsheet plan requires contacting Smartsheet directly. You can't do it through the app. Your billing relationship determines who to reach out to:
- Invoice payment: Contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM) or Account Executive (AE). Alternatively, reach out to Sales.
- Recurring credit card: Contact Smartsheet Support.

In the user model, you can also change a user's seat type from Member to Guest or from Contributor to free, freeing up an assigned Member seat without a full plan downgrade. Learn more about managing users.
