You can downgrade to a different plan type, remove licenses or Member designations from your plan, or discontinue an add-on to your product.

It's not possible to downgrade to our Pro plan. The Pro plan isn't backward compatible with current sheets and data.
Invoice payment
To downgrade to a different plan type, remove Member designations, or discontinue an add-on or other product:
Recurring credit card
You can downgrade a Member to free up an assigned Member seat. Learn more about managing users.
You can also reduce the number of seats available to downgrade your account.
Downgrade account
- Select the Account icon.
- Select Plan & Billing.
- In the Change plan window, select Next: Configure plan.
Under Members, review the current number of Members and then enter the number of Members you want.

If there's a notification about the Loyalty Benefit discount, carefully consider your options. If you forfeit the Loyalty Benefit discount, you can't receive it in the future.
- Select Reduce Member seats.
Additional information
- Per our user agreement, downgrade requests must be made at least 30 days before the renewal of your current term.
- Prorated refunds are not offered for canceled accounts. For more details about cancellation terms, refer to the Smartsheet User Agreement.

- Sign in to your account.
- Once signed in, select the Account icon.
- Select User Management to see a list of users.
- Left-click the user's email address you wish to remove a license from.
- Uncheck the Licensed User box.
- Select the Save button.
Downgrade account
- Go back to the Smartsheet home screen at app.smartsheet.com.
- Select the Account icon.
- Select Add Licenses / Upgrade.
- The Change Your Plan form will then appear. From the drop-down menu, select the number of licenses you want.
- Select Purchase.

- Un-check the Licensed User box.
- Select the Save button.
Downgrade account
