Smartsheet Mobile App: Overview

With the Smartsheet mobile app, you can take your work with you, collect information from resources in the field, and maintain visibility into key metrics so you can make decisions on the go.

Get started

To download and set up the app, see Get up and running with the Smartsheet mobile app.

To find your Smartsheet items, you can use SearchHomeBrowseWorkApps, and Notifications.

Search

Access the Search bar at the top of the Home and Browse pages. When you select the search bar, it displays a list of recent searches. After submitting your search query, you can filter your search results by selecting the Filter icon  Brandfolder Image mobile app to bring up the filters you can choose from.

You can scan QR and barcodes by selecting the scanning icon  Brandfolder Image scan icon to the right of the search bar.

Home

There are three tabs here:

  • Recents: This is the list of your most recently accessed Smartsheet items. They are grouped by the ones opened TodayThis Week, and older. You can share and add them to favorites by selecting the three-dot menu next to each item.
  • Favorites: This lists your favorite Smartsheet Items and Folders. You can remove them from favorites or share them by selecting the three-dot menu next to each item.
  • Offline: Here, you can find your forms that are available offline.

Browse

Browse contains all the Workspaces and Sheets you own or have access to.

WorkApps

Here you find WorkApps you own or have access to. For more details, refer to Interact with WorkApps from mobile.

Notifications

Any notification you receive in the desktop app can also be viewed in the Mobile app. Use the desktop app or browser to set up automated workflows and receive alerts and notifications that fit your needs.

When you receive a push notification, you can tap on it to view it and take action in the Notification Center.

Within the Notifications screen, you can switch to the Requests tab to see Update, Proofing, Access, and Approval requests. You can fulfill uncompleted requests by entering or approving/denying necessary updates.

Troubleshooting

If you're having issues with the app, the following steps may fix most issues: 

  • Make sure you're running the latest version of the app. Update as needed.
  • Log completely out of the app and then log back in again.
  • Restart your device.
