Use title widgets

Use title widgets to name your dashboards and categorize their content.

The title widget adds a styled heading to label sections of your dashboard, keeping things organized. You can set it up when you first add it to your dashboard, or later by editing the dashboard and selecting the widget.

Add a title widget:

  1. Open the dashboard you want to edit.
  2. On the toolbar, select Edit Dashboard.
  3. On the toolbar, select +Add Widget. The Add Widget panel appears.
  4. Select Title. The widget configuration options appear in the right side panel.

  5. Enter your title in the text field on your dashboard.

    Short titles work nicely, but the widget automatically expands to accommodate longer, multi-line titles if needed.

  6. Use the text format menu to set the title's font type, size, alignment, and more. If you don't see it, select the widget. 
  7. In the Widget Behavior section, in the right side pane, set what should happen when a user clicks the widget.
  • Take no action keeps your report title static.
  • Open another site… opens a tab to a URL you specify.
  • Open a Smartsheet item... opens a  Smartsheet item you specify.
  1. Select Save.
