Who can use this capability?

Plan availability iconThe WorkApps builder capability is available with Enterprise and Premier plans  (learn more about features by plan type).

You can share any WorkApp that you own by adding people to it: with the app open in the builder, click the Add people icon in the upper-right of the window.

You control what people can see and do in the app with roles.

The sharing experience will differ depending on the user type of the person being shared to:

  • Licensed users WorkApps can be shared to licensed users of any Smartsheet plan, internal or external to the app builder’s organization.

  • Unlicensed users or free collaborators An app builder can share an app with any unlicensed user or free collaborator if your organization has purchased a WorkApps collaborator pack. (For information about how to purchase a WorkApps Collaborator pack, please contact Smartsheet Sales.)

Request access to a WorkApp

If you attempt to access an app and you receive a message "You currently don't have access to this app" and you do not have a Smartsheet license, you can request the app builder to give you access.

The WorkApp builder will receive a message alerting them of your request that tells them how to give you access.Manage People

Once you get access to the app, you will be notified via email and the app should appear on the WorkApps home page (https://workapps.smartsheet.com/) under Apps Shared with you.
