You can customize your personal settings to choose which activities in Smartsheet trigger notifications and how you receive them (email, mobile push, or messaging apps like Slack/Teams).
Change your notification settings from the web or desktop app
- On the left navigation bar, select the Account icon.
- Choose Personal Settings > Notifications.
- Set up where you want to receive notifications from a particular alert or action.
- Select "Include my changes in sheet notifications" to receive notifications when testing automations.
- Select Save.

Things to consider
While you can customize how you receive notifications, the level of personalization varies by notification type.
- Sheet Changes and Reminders: Fully customizable. Check or uncheck any box to activate or deactivate delivery across email, mobile push, and messaging apps.
- @Mentions, Sharing Invitations, Requests, and Conversations: Mobile push preferences are fully customizable. Email and messaging app delivery are on by default and can't be deactivated, even if you uncheck the box.
This ensures you don't miss critical collaboration requests or time-sensitive mentions.
