In the Gantt View, a divider splits the screen between grid columns and the Gantt chart. This divider can be dragged to the right or left to widen the display of either section.
Across the top of the Gantt chart, an adjustable Primary and Secondary Timeline allows you to display your tasks using different units of time. Clicking on the Zoom In or Zoom Out icons just below the timeline will toggle through different timeline displays. To the left of this, click the gear icon to access the Gantt Settings.
In the Grid portion to the left of the Gantt chart, you will see a set of columns specific to a Project Sheet:
Each column is programmed to support timeline and Dependency functionality . These columns may be changed in the Gantt Settings.
In the Primary Column you can create indented sections using Hierarchy which can be expanded or collapsed to see the tasks within each section. Child rows display as individual task bars in the Gantt chart based on their start and end dates. The parent row displays a timeline summary of its child rows. You can change task bar color by right-clicking on the bar and selecting Color Settings. Task bar colors can also change based on rules using Conditional Formatting. When a % Complete value is entered for a task, a dark grey bar is shown on the task bar.
To print your Gantt chart, you can export it to PDF, Image, or Microsoft Project (.xml) format.
